Ashok Leyland reported total sales of 21,920 units in month of January 2026 compared to 17,213 units in January 2025, recording a growth of 27%. Total sales include domestic sales of 20,079 units (up 31% YoY).

Eicher Motors sold 1,04,322 motorcycles in month of January 2026 compared to 91,132 units in January 2025, recording a growth of 14%. Total sales include exports of 10,541 units (up 5% YoY).

Escorts Kubota Agri Machinery Business in January 2026 sold 9,799 tractors registering a growth of 46.9% as against 6,669 tractors sold in January 2025.

Domestic tractor sales in January 2026 were at 9,137 tractors registering a growth of 50.8% as against 6,058 tractors in January 2025. The domestic tractor industry showed continued momentum in January 2026, driven by positive rural sentiment and increased farm activity due to progress in rabi sowing, improved water availability, reduction in GST rate, favorable government policies, and ongoing state subsidies. These favorable conditions are expected to fuel continued growth in the industry in the coming months.

Export tractor sales in January 2026 were at 662 tractors registering a growth of 8.3% as against 611 tractors sold in January 2025.

The Company recorded dispatches of 557,871 units in January 2026, registering a robust ~26% growth compared to 442,873 units in January 2025. Mahindra & Mahindra announced that its total sales for the month of January 2026 stood at 104,309 units, a growth of 24% including exports compared to 84,265 units in January 2025.

Total sales include passenger vehicle sales of 63,510 units (up 25% YoY) and commercial vehicle sales of 37,222 units (up 23% YoY).

Domestic sales stood at 100,732 units (up 25% YoY) and exports were at 3,577 units (up 5% YoY) during the month.

According to Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M, “Building on the strong momentum of last year's performance, we began the year on a strong note in January by achieving SUV sales of 63,510 units, a growth of 25% and LCV< 3.5T sales of 27,656 units, a growth of 22%. The total vehicle sales stand at 104,309 units, a 24% year-on-year growth. On 14th January, we opened bookings for XUV7XO and XEV 9S clocking 93,689 bookings for a booking value of Rs. 20,500 Crore - a record-breaking milestone in just 4 hours.”
